A Learning Through Landscapes film in which Sir David Attenborough explains how schools in England are facing tough decisions to accommodate a sharp rise in pupils. He strongly believes that making the choice to sacrifice their outdoor spaces will not only have a catastrophic effect on children’s connection with nature but also their learning, behaviour, health and well-being too.







I think the number one challenge is the current choice of youth for technology over nature. 😦
Hi Judy, yes that is certianly an important issue. Are you familair with Sara Stein’s writings (specifically ‘Noah’s Children’)? I’ve just read this and am taken with her analysis of some of the other issues affecting how children grow up. I think I’ll feature some extracts from this on the blog in the next few weeks.
