I found the swale picture very interesting but is there a tendency for clogging up under the litttle footpath bridges?
Hi- thanks for the comment. You could be right. I suspect the bridges cover main drains and this is where the water from the swalese eventually gets discharged, but there might still be puddling around there; I guess it all depends on the amount of water and how quickly it can get cleared!
