A small city garden completely dominated by 30ft high Strelitzia nicolai. As dusk fell, those Strelitzias came alive with a colony of rats, dozens of them, leaping from branches like a circus act. via Transforming an indigenous garden in Johannesburg. — Jardin
Hi. I am looking for someone with knowledge to transform my space at the back of the plot. I would like an indigenous, forest look that would attract nature in Gauteng. The space could be used as a natural sanctuary. With a circulating pond. Before I live this earth I would like a rotating stream, pond that people would love to sit in. Something with weaving pathsways leading to the unexpected. I am not wealthy, but would like to leave behind a haven for animals and people in the city! Unrealistic I know, but it would be a dream come true. I would have to have a clear plan! I am a dreamer. I imagine a small space for owls, and Gauteng residents to enjoy. Hate rats, have termites. For the love of people and rescue. If you are on the same page. Please contact me.
