I set you a little challenge last Sunday. I photographed these two old gardening tools at Erdigg House and Gardens and asked what you thought they were used for. Thanks to those of you who had a go….

This is a harvesting device for blackcurrants and similar fruit that hang in clusters. Modern day advice is to use a fork, but I think this looks a lot more effficient!
I wonder how efficient this lawn edger was? As somemone who’s been out with his half moon this week, it looks like this might be worth a go!
